04Why IMEC
The India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor was announced at the G20 summit in New Delhi in September 2023. It envisions shipping, rail, energy and digital links connecting India with the Gulf, Israel and Europe.
Haifa Bay, with its port, rail connections and industry, is positioned as the corridor's gateway to the Mediterranean. The people who live and work here will shape how that opportunity is used.
